Dr. Laura Craig
This is a two-semester Multiple Subject Credential program placing student teachers in the Cajon Valley Union School District. Cajon Valley Union School District's mission statement is: The best place to live, work, play. and raise a family. This K-8 district actively engages in a partnership with SDSU and hires many SDSU graduates.
This is a hybrid cohort with all online methods courses and in-person student teaching. Special emphasis focuses on the education of culturally & linguistically diverse learners. The schools and Guide Teachers selected share in a commitment to meeting the academic needs of all learners, their families, and communities. The Cajon Valley Cohort is rigorous and enriching, providing professional development for designing standards-based instruction and creating inclusive learning communities. Classes are held online in the afternoon and evening, after student teaching. The schedule of courses and student teaching hours will be provided at the start of registration each semester. Credential candidates must be available full-time, five days a week to complete student teaching and enroll in all required coursework for this two-semester program.
Student Teaching will be at various schools in the Cajon Valley Union School District. School hours vary.
