Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in PK-12 School Leadership
The Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership w/ PK-12 concentration seeks to advance the work of public schools throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties. The program is committed to developing reflective leaders and change agents, capable of responding to the area’s demographic shifts and the increasingly complex needs of educational organizations within this diverse multicultural region.
Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Community College Leadership
The CCLEAD program prepares leaders who are committed to educational justice, and provides them with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential to transforming education systems for student success. College and university faculty and practitioner experts collaborate to create a vibrant learning community that draws upon the issues and challenges facing Community College/Postsecondary Education leaders in their colleges. Doctoral candidates tackle real-world problems through their dissertation research and serve their organizations and institutions at the same time by informing and improving practice.
The Department of Dual Language and English Learner Education prepares bilingual and cross-cultural teachers, administrators, and other educators who are reflective and transformational practitioners in addressing the needs of ethnically and linguistically diverse learners through collaboration with schools, families and community.
