Unique Focus or Emphasis:

Generation Global students are immersed in classrooms that reflect the demographics of San Diego County and prepare diverse learners for a 21st Century world.  Emphasis will be placed on learning about our community and on ensuring all future students are able to thrive in an increasingly globalized world.  Through an inquiry process, credential students will analyze educational and societal challenges and seek out solutions and opportunities. Moreover, they will link schools to their communities and to the larger global context. By the end of the credential program, candidates will feel more comfortable in teaching and learning for global competence, meaning they can prepare and execute lessons that ask students to recognize perspectives, investigate the world, communicate ideas, and take action.

Most courses will be taught at San Diego State University. One course each semester will meet at a location in the Sweetwater School District.
