Steam Day

UNLEASH YOUR SUPERPOWER: EXPLORE THE MULTIVERSE OF SCIENCE

steam day

Every year, the San Diego State University Institute for Transformative Education hosts a day of hands-on learning at STEAM Day. In November, high school students from across the San Diego region participate in workshops hosted by local engineers, scientists, and educators. During this event, students engage in exciting experiments, observe scientific phenomena, and explore a variety of potential careers in STEAM.

STEM Day is a collaborative effort between ITE staff, SDSU students and faculty, and local community organizations. Our goal is to share the power of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics with high school students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in STEAM and higher education.
