bacb_logo.jpgThe SDSU School Psychology program has received a BCBA approved course sequence (#4487 – 4th Edition Task List). Read more about this exciting news in the College of Education news blog!

This approved sequence will make it easier to take the requisite coursework for the BCBA as our students simultaneously earn their M.S. and Ed.S. degrees in School Psychology. This allows for deeper specialization within the School Psychology program to appropriately serve children on the Autism Spectrum or those needing intensive behavioral supports.

What is a BCBA?

The field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) has rapidly evolved within the past few decades. Supported by a strong evidence-base, the demand for ABA services has increased exponentially within the fields of developmental disabilities and special education. In accordance with this, the need to train competent and well-prepared ABA professionals has become a national issue

The  Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) is a nonprofit corporation established to meet professional credentialing needs in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis. The BCBA is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals who are certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services.
