The Center for Equity and Postsecondary Attainment (CEPA) is excited to announce the 2023-2025 National School Counselor Fellows Cohort. CEPA fellows utilize a community of practice approach and digest current research to understand problems of practice, identify gaps, and focus on solutions that address the systemic structures and policies that impact student’s postsecondary journeys.

Inaugural National School Counselor Fellows Program

The Center for Equity and Postsecondary Attainment (CEPA) will launch the Inaugural National School Counselor Fellows Program beginning fall 2022. The NSCF program will focus on preparing fellows to apply a practice-based approach to address the pandemic’s impact on student’s educational pathways.

Journal Publishes New Research about Anti-Racist College Counseling and Advising

The Journal of College Access (JCA) at Western Michigan University just published a special edition entitled, “Access and Blackness: Antiracist College Counseling and Advising,” which fills a gap in the scholarship on African-Americans and college access.  It is available online at https://scholarworks.wmich.edu/jca/vol6/iss3/. It is the third special issue published by JCA and the third issue of 2021.
