Scholarships for a Plant-Based Nutrition course is open to those interested to attend the class in May 2025.  This is an online 6-8 week course offered by the Center for Nutrition Studies, a non-profit organization.  It gives students an understanding of the social, economic, and political factors that shape nutrition, health and health care in the U.S., an approach that is not taught in one university course alone. It also presents recent scientific evidence supporting the benefits of a whole-food plant-based diet, especially in the prevention and reversal of many chronic diseases.

You can learn more about the Center for Nutrition Studies and this course by clicking on the link below.

It is open to everybody, and successful candidates for the scholarship can start attending the online class any time in May.  Health professionals can receive continuing education credit for taking this class.  They will have to pay a small fee to get continuing credit.

We are pleased to share the news that in the March 2025 Cycle, 21 scholarships were granted to SDSU students, staff and private individuals living in San Diego.  See their names below.
